These elephants and mahouts (elephant handler) are in Chiang  Mai, Thailand. The job of a mahout is often passed down through families, from father to son.


The Last Roll of Kodachrome

It occurred to me that getting that last roll of film, which was Kodachrome 64, would be a good way of honouring a film that had made such a big impact on my life and had been my everyday film for 30 years.


Galápagos Islands

I remember as a teenager learning about a voyage that Charles Darwin took on the HMS Beagle. For five years, he joined the expedition which allowed him to explore the coast of South America and the islands including the Galápagos.
